Thanks, it was technically a gift so I’m not allowed to ever sell it. Doubt I would unless desperate, anyway. Cal.30 movement so it’s nice but quite small. Roughly 32.5mm sans crown.

that Seiko PADI whatsit is nice - whats the price on those any ideas?

It’s a variant of the SPB077/079 which in the UK are priced at £799 (rubber strap) and £999 (steel bracelet). The PADI one comes on rubber but as a special edition might cost a bit more - maybe £850-900?

My suggestion would be to get it from Gnomon. They tend to mark down for customs and they’re a lot cheaper than UK prices overall. Currently their SBDC063 (which is the Japanese ref for the SPB079) is $710 (USD) and they will often do a discount if you ask.

They also sell the bracelet separately if you wanted to add that - that’s where I got the bracelet for my SPB053.

Got this for my 18th and it’s been neglected since it’s original leather strap died along with its battery a good four years ago. Finally got a new battery and bought a second hand bracelet too. They’re mega expensive new as it’s titanium.

Very happy - definitely one to split opinions but I love it as much as I did at 18 years old in 2011. Better yet, there’s no ticking seconds hand, which having now owned mechanical watches, would annoy me. So light considering it’s on a bracelet! Think it ran at about +11 seconds a year before the battery died.

In certain cases it’ll display info like T1, T2, T3 for timezones and then will display the time on the bottom. Or it’ll say ‘AL’ for alarm and then the alarm time on the bottom. And so on and so forth. Also has a minute repeater which I love.

I think the numerals are better than the current generation’s numerals. Hour markers and 3,6,9,12 would be better. Obviously if I could go back in time to 2011, I’d have gotten something mechanical - my dad only spent as much as he did because he got an Aerospace in 2001 and I was obsessed with it as a kid, so anything mechanical would have been over budget anyway.

My pink bomber made me smile more than any watch I've ever owned... I should get another one...

I like it a lot. Would definitely wear it. Reminds me of the 90s Tags, which are top of my list - just don’t know what one to get. eBay is full and confusing. Generally speaking it would be something like this, though.

I’m pretty sure it’s your fault that I keep a lookout for them. This is definitely genuine too, does the funny CASiO thing with the lower right button and the buckle is stamped.

I have had the opportunity to be quite close to the project from inception to now. If anything, it has given me quite a dim opinion on how these things happen.

In a nutshell:

1) Decide to create a watch brand. Choose a weird, slightly awkward name.
2) Hold a bunch of parties with your wealthy friends and a lot of female models. Insta the party to shit.
3) Sponsor a bunch of elite mountain athletes and pay them to mention the brand in every Insta/Tweet
4) Come up with some half arsed designs and make some watches. Fail to reveal which movement you have used and pitched as in house even though it isn't.
5) More parties.
6) Open web shop.
