I feel like thatโs logical - if the valves are hydraulically actuated the ECU must have to use oil temp to adjust oil pressure to take into account whether the oil is high or low viscosity and how much pressure is needed to open / close valves properly
If you're interested, i found a half decent video about "multi air" valve trains earlier, which is effectively the same technology but for a 4cyl engine
