• So the 500 twin air went in under warranty coughing and spluttering yesterday.

    Took them all day to work out that an oil temp sensor was faulty.

    I was intrigued as to how that would affect the idle from cold start but apparently because the valves are hydraulic the ecu will compensate if the oil gets too hot. (or false reading of)

    Anyone have any knowledge of this?

  • Wouldn't they have just plugged into diagnostics and gone
    "hmm. Oil temp looks high, but the engines cold, lets swap the sensor"
    Took all day?
