  • Could have been in labour & on her way to the hospital?

  • possibly but she passed UCH, RLJ'ed at Euston Road (!!) and continued toward Hopsital-less Camden.

  • The rider is the baby. Experts agree that babies are too young and inexperienced to understand the Highway Code which explains her poor cycling.

  • Blood? That wouldn't bother half of 'em. Paint stripper or something else that etched badly-drawn cocks into their paintwork would be better.

  • Just off Edgeware road, a mother and daughter stood just off the pavement waiting to cross the road. The mother looks me dead in the eyes as I am 5-7m away and ushers her daughter (who is head down, looking at her phone) out in front of me. Thankfully I avoided her, did I just muck up an attempted murder?!

  • Maybe wanted a home birth.

  • I had a zombie ped step out on me today. I thought we had eye contact, then she stepped off the kerb directly into my path. Very unnerving, made me feel invisible.

A quick swerve and quite a lot of swearing saved the day for both of us.

  • Saw two white vans bumper kiss each other in traffic at about 30 km/h. They couldn't be bothered to stop, just both drove on :')

  • A number of armed British Transport Police at Kings Cross this morning (I didn't even know they had armed units). Coincidence or is there something going on?

  • Mega-props to the cyclist parked at the old street/great eastern street crossing this morning arguing for people to wait behind the line so pedestrians can reach and use their crossing. Tough job! Lots of pushback from the usual I'm-a-club-rider-out-of-my-way-plebs tossbags, though some support from the crowd too.

  • Seemingly less resolutionists this morning? Threat of rain later putting them off already?

  • this attitude can bugger off

  • Oh, I'd much rather the roads were full of cyclists than cars, don't get me wrong. The more the merrier. Was simply stating it was quieter on the CS. Should have followed it with "That's a shame if so"

  • Some guy in a hard hat and hi-viz did that to me this morning. There was a plastic barrier directly in front of the entrance/exit to the site in order to stop people walking straight out into the road, so instead he just walked around it... straight into the road!? I just ride around now expecting literally everyone to suddenly step out or any car door to suddenly spring open.

  • They're always around. I live on Cally Road and see them all the time. Nothing to worry about I guess, though seeing a bloke with an M5 when you're buying loo roll in the petrol station is a little unnerving.

  • Fair enough. I commute through there most days and they aren't that visible the way I come out of the station, I guess.

  • Sorry, hadn’t had my coffee and was a bit snappy.

  • little p$ncture repair practice for saturdays HDIJ. jinxed it by thinking to myself this morning aint had one in ages

  • Fuck the selfish cunts who filter up the middle of Tower Bridge! It makes drivers swerve to the left where everyone patiently cycling over is. Nearly get crushed everyday.

  • Well, speaking as one of those selfish cunts; maybe ask yourself how any one is 'forcing' drivers to swerve in to the path of cyclists (a big whole visible bunch of them, by your own account)? And if I was 'nearly getting crushed' everyday - though I just bet you aren't - then I would stop putting myself in harm's way.

  • Try going down the left hand side next time. See what happens when someone bombs up the middle.

  • Wouldn't motorcycles, mopeds and scooters all be expected to ride on the right and "bomb" along faster than a pedal cycle?

Maybe everyone on 2 wheels should be over on the right or they should just stay in the lane rather than share it with a car?

  • Motorbikes and scooters tend to shoot down when there’s a gap in the on coming traffic. Where as bicycles can squeeze down when both lanes are moving and it seems to surprise some drivers and they swerve over to the left.

I would say just travelling in the lane with the cars is probably the safest option too but you know I’m a hypocrite who wants to get over there as quick as possible.

I think they need to sort the bridge out the in general. The roads so narrow for how many people travel over it.

  • The only way to sort out tower bridge would be to ban motor vehicles.

Making it one way, or widening it, would increase speeds. Lunacy in such a heavily used pedestrian corridor.
