The forum magic came through with some 75’s as well, even hand delivered to the pub by @dumps under the strain of illness, superb.
I found a phil wood BB that’s seen better days, at the bottom of the parts bin as well, so hopefully that will be compatible in terms of axle length.
Need to make a call on Rims, Seatpost, maybe saddle and get the steerer cut down a tad.
Oh yeah and find some broken Campag shifters, why oh why did I sell the stripped chorus ones....
The Talbot is in the paint booth as well apparently, paint is based on many a train, but the last iteration was the old Fastline livery I think. Hopeful to see it soon as it should be a beast.

Turns out the frame had already been in the booth, but wheel building had got in the way of photos.
Cracking take on the ‘Fastline’ livery. It just needs a red trailer now...

So this is the reason I don't have my wheels yet!

Only took you 3 minutes to bite 😂
You aren’t thinking about this correctly, the lack of wheels is a great excuse for our puffer performance.....

Love the paintjob on that

Very nice. No Maximum Gainz fork this time?

Love the paintjob!

Ha ha, god no.
They are great, but I want the mass of this one to be able to be reigned in by the puny rim brakes.
Maximum Gainz are no respectors of silly trinkets like those

@russmeyer Ta, I like that it’s reconisable in terms of the livery and the paint job on my track bike.
He alright that Matt, he’s alright.....

Some movement today on the stash
Elsegood commuter has gone to a good forummy home.
I dropped the Zipp track hubs off to Jim at BC today as well. Turns out open pro CD’s don’t come in 28H so we pumped for some Halo retros, for the full silver silvery look. Rims need to be ordered in so should 10days or so
Decided to run the flyer fixed from now on, with the Talbot being SS.
Hopefully that will be built and collected soon as well!

What is the thinking with those dropouts? Easier to remove the wheel to repair a flat? (Compared to track ends)
-
• #300
I've got forward facing dropouts on my Straggler, and it does make for much easier wheel removal with full guards
