God bless the finishing points dividend. Thought Oli had stolen a march on me with Pinot and Valverde's victories during the week... quite a close run throughout though.

That's my second Lufguss fantasy GT of the season including the unofficially ran Tour, nae bad considering my team choice process is usually a scattergun of guesswork and prejudice...

What a crapfest. Strong start completely buggered by losing Dumoulin and Gaviria within a week.

Realised I hadn't joined the league, entered now.

2 more of mine out. My only challenge now is to finish with no riders still in the race.

2nd overall. Connor Dunne was dead weight in my team though.

And in mine 😐

Oh well, still victorious and more importantly, won my (£5 in) work league as well!

Is there a dark- version of the old Velogames TdF game this year? I think there was last year in the end?

"Each cyclist is associated with a fixed cost in stars and a category according to his characteristics (4 categories: leader, sprinter, climber, polyvalent). You can freely spend your budget in stars by choosing the cyclists you want (8 cyclists) but you cannot exceed 5 all-rounders, 3 climbers, 3 sprinters and 3 leaders in your squad. When you choose a cyclist, your star budget is decreased by the corresponding value.

As long as a rider has not started a stage in your team, you can remove him from your squad to retrieve your stars by clicking on the red cross.

RIDERS'STATUS AND CHANGES IN YOUR TEAM
When signing up, you will have to choose 1 Road Captain whose points won on a stage will be doubled and 7 Teammates within your team. You can change your Road Captain for a stage as long as that stage has not yet started.

Throughout the race, you will have the opportunity to make changes in your team by using credits. You will be able to replace one of your chosen riders with a new cyclist by using 50 credits"

I can't remember how often but every so often you can chose to swap people in/out of the team at the cost of extra points. TBH I generally just pick a team and stick with it.

Ah, makes more sense. Sounds like the 50 credit option (it gave me 400) is best saved for swapping out abandons for another rider to keep the squad at 8. Not purist but not like daily squad shuffles based on stage profile.

Also fucking confused-trying to look at the lufguss league and there is loads of folk in it?

What I don't get is that velogames is just a watered down version of gambling. How come ASO don't come down on Ladbrokes etc for taking bets on TdF. Are they just bullying the little guy? If he had resources he could easily fight this.

the thing that boils my piss is that velogames made no money, didn't actively promote, and if anything, added value to Le Tour by encouraging interest in it-Le Tour could have easily had their own flashy sponsored version without shitting all over them and been none the worse for it-smacks of Spesh trying to patent the word 'Roubaix' and stomping over independent shops who had it in their name by sending legal bully letters...

How come we can't view other players' teams? Whenever I click on a player the team is anonymous.
