• How far back/forward are they rotated? I find that can make a massive difference to comfort.

    Bar width, not so much. Anything between 710-785 feels fine, as long as the sweep, rotation, and height/reach is ok.

  • Do they have a massive sweep to them then?

    Double check where your brakes are too. I had to point my brakes to the floor before they started feeling comfortable and reduce dodgy wrist angle.

  • Elbows bent, or straight arms?

    Do you ride flat bars/riser on any other bike? Some people just don't get on with 'normal' bars, and end up adding to Jeff Jones's retirement fund

  • Also, if you can slide the grips inboard, that's an easy experiment to try.
