It had some very cool documentaries that just don't seem to appear on other channels and covered lots of smaller races and sportives and stuff. It was pretty good. Wish it came back in HD.

Gazzeta reporting today that Comcast have committed to funding 60-70% of Sky’s budget for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, meaning a new sponsor could get full naming rights for £15 million or so.
There are also reports that the team may merge with the Israel Cycling Academy team.

Really going for that 'most hated team' status then?
-
• #20030
Definitely doubling down.

Is Sylvan Adams that bad though?
-
• #20032
That really depends on your attitude towards Israel, I think, specifically the current Israeli Government.
-
• #20033
still, he's never had to explicitly deny personally torturing anyone, so there is always that

• #20034
Astana rap anyone?
-
• #20035
Oh my god.

I don't think it's so far off the "ironic" mullets, moustaches, and rave-couture of EF/Cannondale really
-
• #20037
That's well good.

Hoping someone puts Richie Porte in the gutter in the morning
-
• #20039
Why the anger towards Porte? He is bland and inoffensive. Plain boiled potatoes.
In fact, that’s how I feel about all the racing at this time of year too.
Ruta del Sol and Catalunya occasionally have some good racing but roll on Omloop.

roll on Omloop
absolutely! extra excited because MVDP will race the 'real big boys' for the 1st time.
-
• #20041
Who is he riding for? I’m not expecting too much because he’s still young but then look at WvA at Strade Bianche last year.
-
• #20042
Corendon Circus like in CX

Only God can judge

Corendon-Circus, they got a Pro Continental license and a lot of invitations from race organisers (because, rightfully so, they are expecting much). He will ride
Omloop
Nokere Koerse
Bredene Koksijde Classic
Gent-Wevelgem
Dwars door Vlaanderen
Ronde van Vlaanderen
Fleche Brabanconne
Amstel Gold RaceUnfortunately, no Strade Bianche and Paris-Roubaix, the races I think he would find very well suited to his abilities on rough surfaces. But as you say, although he's holding 3 national jerseys simultaneously (road, cx and mtb) he's still young

I think Paris-Roubaix and Strade Bianche are probably quite tough with competition for spots and also a bit of a shit show when it comes to crashes etc even more than any of the others. Also, I think the majority of the Flanders races are run by the same organiser (who doesn't do PR or SB) and Amstel is his "home" classic so it likely makes sense that he's doing that block.

I think the organisers (and French fans, you probably know who his grandpa is) are disappointed he doesn't come to P-R especially, Corendon had a spot but preferred to ride the Fleche Brabançonne/Amstel Gold combination.

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on.
Wonder how much Pidcock will be observing to plot his career.

I'm pretty interested to see how Remco Evenepoel goes this year. He made most of his competitors last year look pretty second rate, particularly in the European champs and Worlds but it's a huge step from juniors to world tour. Do have to wonder if they'd have been better off signing a development contract and racing him with a conti or pro-conti team for a year or two.

• #20050
They’ll know from his numbers what he’s ready to do.
Can he still race U23 worlds etc now he’s stepped up?
Came here to post the new flatter LBL finish. Opens it up a bit to Sagan and the like.

I wish they'd stop tweeting about that and their bloody merch.
