Hurray - someone else that's seen it! The cinematography was incredible.

Really not sure what to think of it. Which is usually later defined as meh.
I thought the idea was well thought out, yet had a terrible ending.

deffo lost perspective after seeing it for the 200th or so time.

It would have done really well at the B.O. this weekend judging by how busy the room was.
One thing that did (slightly) annoy/shock me was the "modernisation" of the language used throughout. Stuff like "No pressure!" for instance. Not sure this is representative of 18th c speak .

Cooool! Good work. Most enjoyable film I've seen in such a long time. Can't wait to watch it again.

Ah searched and nothing came up.
Bought the DVD as it had Matt Berry and Jermaine Clement in it. It was weird and still don't get it/understand. It has some amazing bits that were soo funny. Still talking about the film tho. Want to watch it again.

Saw One Cut Of The Dead, a Japanese zombie comedy, last week. Brilliant film and very funny. Itâs only got a very limited cinema release but I think itâs out on DVD now/soon.

Yeah, Football Referee had me in pieces (to the extent that I rewatched that scene several times the week after). I guess youâre more likely to forgive it for its oddities if you enjoy the humour, but could see how it wouldnât work for a lot of people.

I saw Free Solo on Friday at Hackney Picturehouse, definitely one to see on a big screen. It's actually pretty funny alongside the beautiful scenery.
Turns out I fucking love climbing documentaries. If you see this one and like it then also watch Meru and Valley Uprising.. both amazing.

I love the ad they play before films at the odeon where they big up their âpremiumâ cinema like some coked up m&s foodwank ad, basically shoving it in the face of everyone in the audience who just got mugged off for ÂŁ18 a pop for a chair covered in leftover popcorn that their current night out is a steaming pile of shit cos thereâs no sofas or ârestaurant quality foodâ served on a plate with cutlery because nothing improves a movie experience like a room full of twats scraping their knives and forks around their plates all the way through.

ÂŁ18 a pop? Please. Everyone with a brain who enjoys the cinema has an odeon limitless membership đ

I only go to the cinema when it's a scheduled relationship obligation. that's already more times than I want to go each year.

parquet flooring, cocktails, giant black and white pictures of celebrities popular with the whites, metro tiles and black fittings in the bathroom, edgy retro lightbulbs / neon signs - it's like watching a movie in a Living etc. photoshoot.
go see for yourself.

• #14896
OK I shall check the portraits. Parquet flooring?

Folks that saw a legit version of The Suspiria remake - large parts of it are in German - am i to believe these bits come with subtitles?
-
• #14899
Yes I think they did when I saw it though tbh the film isn't about what is said... It tells it's story with music and images
-
• #14900
Also -trufax- the original Suspiria, The international cast of actors each spoke their own language and then everyone was dubbed to English.
Watched hereditary with friends recently.. was sufficiently spooked but fell asleep just before it kicked off and woke up just as it ended.
Of what i saw thought it was quite nice film making but didn't much enjoy the sound / music.. too predictable horror film stuff
