Yes, it ran unofficially last year and will do again. As well as the insta stuff there's a facebook group here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1827536454226495/I'd be well wary of riding any significant amount on roads around Melbourne as the driving got worse the further East I got, but the off-road stuff there looks fabulous. Jesse and Sarah seem to go off camping every weekend and post some great photos

I’m in Melbourne so will probably just cheer the riders on as they cycle through.
