  • Very fair point re. unlikely it being a manufacturing fault. @Jonte saying it happened to his Khaki Field as well left me curious. Have it in a ziplock bag with rice in as didn't have silica to hand.

    Yeah but I’m not an expert in getting watches to be waterproof. All mine I presume are not in any way and I treat them as such. Someone else here might know though

  • It’s definitely one of the best parts of wearing modern over vintage, not worrying so much about water.
    I wore my ‘79 Speedy yesterday and got a bit panicked when I realised it was running really slow, only noticed I’d left the crown out after a good few hours wear, idiot. In my defence it’s a non hacking movement but still there’s probably popadom dust in there now.
