Might be super basic but how tight are your (many) gloves? A bit of extra bulk and space of material around your fingers is necessary otherwise the gloves won't do their job. If your serious winter gloves are nice and form fitting chances are they are too tight, you need circa ~5mm of padding. Apolz if you already knew this

Seem to have weirdly proportioned hands and trouble finding a ‘just a bit loose’ fit.
Think I need a day of bike shop shopping and try every b*strd pair until I find some.
Oh, and then lose one of them. Obviously.
