The hairdryer will soften the glue and leave less residue than if you just try and take it off cold.
Interesting that he recommends Windex over a solvent for the remaining residue.

The driver's and shotgun side windows have creased in the Queensland heat, they need to be swapped out straight away, and the rear view windown is a disaster, half has already peeled off and I'm told it's illegal to drive around like that... I've been very slack about getting it off... The rear side windows are still perfect, maybe I could leave them as they are and save a few quid...
