Been away in Vietnam for six days now, and missing my fluff ball. Is that sad?

No! I usually start missing Patch when I get to the airport...

I'm getting good at interpreting cat body language.
For example, this means "where's our fucking food human"

Despite the fact she was losing weight previously, Fleur just weighed in at the vets at 650g overweight. Indoor, all her food is weighed to the g so we’re pretty surprised.
We recently acquired a housemate who keeps her door shut so we’re wondering if the loss of territory has made her lazy?
Dry food has been reduced and only going in her treat ball now..
Other than that she’s as happy and aloof as ever.Anyone else experienced similar?

Patch has found a new spot to sit on...
Man, that’s my spare sofa blanket! My main one is twice the size and sooooo warm and fluffy that is now permanently folded nicely and placed at the end of my bed becaus that’s where she loves to sleep!
I already gave up 1 blanket to this cat, I am not doing it again!!
You might say, on the bright side, I get half my sofa back... 🤷🏻♀️
PS, you see that little blue blanket underneath? That’s right, that was her birthday present in 2017 and she has not a single time touched it! NOT ONCE!

Winter fat! They move less in the winter and eat more, just like we do I guess! I wouldn’t worry.
Also, not trying to be funny, but did she do a dump before the visit? A couple of years back, Patch weighted 4.3kg instead of her average just over 4kg... and the vet says she was overweight to which I replied I had to lock her in this morning so she hasn’t had a chance to shit yet, that’s gotta weight at least 200g... and let’s not forget the wee!

ahaaaaaa - now that i work from home....looking through my kitchen window as i type.....ginger "fish n chip shop" cat just sleaked on by on the wall....looked at me for a bit frozen.....then slinked its way across the walls into someone elses garden.
so much better watching the cat than debugging XML file processing issues.

Anyone got a recommendation for cat litter? Ideally clumping so we can remove the wee fully rather than just guessing which pile of dust under the top layer to scoop.

We swear by this stuff. Cheap as chips and clumps really well. We buy the 15L sacks.
For some reason, it gets bad reviews from people saying it doesn't clump which really doesn't match with our experience over the last two years or so. Bit puzzling really, I highly recommend it.

We use this spendy shiz
So yeah the Rapha of cat litter - nice but pricey.

Bit hot here (NZ), Pocus seems a bit uncomfortable. Need to give her a good brush and remove some hair.

Wait until she brings home a rat! A friend’s cat did it once and out of shock, they shouted at the cat and she brought it out again... the rat was half the same of the cat... 😱
