yeah I won't be sticking with them long term. but one of the few places I could classic car insurance from without having another car as my 'main car'. spoke to quite a few of them but none would accept push bike as my main car ;-)
though actually on that note I am also toying with buying a little runabout to live at my mums so I can be taxi on my monthly visits as well as throw my bike in the back to get some miles in the wider area when up in the shires. I will then have a 'main car' albeit a piece of shit. will be interesting to see how that opens up insurance options.
Based on experiences described on Pistonheads I don't want to be with Admiral/Elephant, it's just they offer reasonable prices for people with 0 or low NCB. My 10+ years is on the MX5, so I've been starting again with the 2nd car, I've now hit 3 years which gives a decent discount, but also seems to open up more insurers.
If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't want a nice classic like that insured with Admiral any longer than I had to be with no other option. They've been known to quibble over non-declared optional extras, and if you try and declare them, they count them as modifications and load the premium.
So I'm quite happy to move to Churchill.
