Funny you say that as it's what i did last year too
i actually phoned them up to say i was leaving because it was too expensive, they asked me if i had other quotes so i told them the best quote i had. They ended up undercutting it and including breakdown cover so it ended up being significantly cheaper and less faff.

It's massively annoying. I'm with Admiral (or Elephant, I forget). Try giving them a ring - the past couple of years I've had a renewal price increase, but after a five minute call they knock it down to below what it was.
It's such an annoying waste of effort and obvious con.
