Here's a pic of Pro Ian Hallam riding for KP Crisps - SABA on a slightly earlier version of your frame. Sorry about the fuzzy pic lol.

Wasn't Saba a rebrand for the UK market? @Midli knows more than me, I thought it was Colnago, but guess Viner...

Builders varied. I have a memory that Ray Cottingham built at least some of them, Viner built some ... because it was a distributor-owned brand, as in many such cases, the builder was the source that could do the job to the required price and standard, at the time ...
As to who the distributor was, it's lost in the mists of my memory but I think it was either Phil Edwards who went on to form the distibutor Caratti Sport with his brother, Mark, or Alan Lloyd.
I read somewhere that Ceeway Marketing, currently the main importer and distributor for Columbus tubing, Cobra and Hozan tools and all manner of slightly more obscure small parts for frame and bicycle fabrication, is the modern incarnation of the old owners of the Saba brand ...

I had the Saba ssc frame back in about 1986. Columbus sl tubes and the deck of cards on the lugs. JD Whiskers who had a shop in Kilburn were selling them cheapest at the time, was a nice frame. Glws

Saba were the main importers of Columbus back in the day, as Ceeway are now, I guess they took over the license as still Antonio is pretty strict with who can use it.

Seen this but decided it won't work for me sizewise. Will build into a nice bike for the right person.

Ha yes, I eyed up those Saba frames in Whiskers shop in Kilburn with great envy! You had to be among the Chosen to buy the best pieces — they were not offered to the great unwashed. One old-timer related that he had gone there with a bundle of cash to buy the latest Campag groupset, only to be told he didn't qualify to buy "because he wasn't good enough".

Decals are available :)
SABA Frame + Forks
Stamped - 53-54
Recently primed, painted (dark grey) and transparent finish + Keirin Silver Flake done to both the frame and forks. Could do with a few more coats of clear finish and flake. Used Spray.Bike paint.
There’s also a minor top tube dent which isn’t that noticeable.
The Forks have some nice card suit details on the inner part. Nice SABA branding thoughout the frame and forks.
Very nice steel and Campagnolo Dropouts
