  • The wooden fire surround is original to the house. It has had additional bits added by previous owners. I moved it from the dining room to the front room. The cast iron inert from ebay.

    I made the doors in traditional tenon and mortise style myself using an assortment of junkshop tools.

    The panel moulding was made with a 200 year old Griffiths of Norwich plane:

    It took about 6 hours to make the moulding for those two doors. It's much easier to buy panel moulding ready made.
