All of the switches that I need covers are big three and four gang ones.
I have mounted the hue dinmer switches alongside them, but would like a shallow box or similar to cover the original switches and prevent resident technophobes from turning the hue bulbs off.
Has anyone seen anything that might work?

Just because it's a 4 way gang, doesn't mean you need 4 dimmers. I'd probably reduce it and use Hue to group them how you like.

I want a double gang cover, with or without a holder for a single hue dimmer switch.

I have another 4 way double gang switch on the other side of the wall that also needs covering up. Again, with or without a single hue dimmer holder.

Easiest thing seems to be a simple blanking cover.

The person that makes the one in the picture takes requests, it would seem

Or a 2 gang safety switch, the type that takes those fish keys to switch on and off.

Or mount the 2 dimmer version where both dimmers control the same lights.
I assume the room is big, so maybe it's nice to have storage for a 2nd dimmer so that you can always grab that and one is still on the wall.

Not a bad shout.

Anyone got a decent curtain or blind automation solution. Ideally mains powered, phone ap etc.

For someone who has the Samotech covers, what kind of clearance does it give for the light switch? I fancy getting some but plenty of the reviews suggest that they ended up having to change the underlying light switch to something with a slimmer switch which does give me a little less motivation (the lightswitches themselves are fine in terms of size).

Aren't ikea launching smart blinds soon? https://www.wired.co.uk/article/why-ikeas-perfectly-positioned-to-own-the-smart-home

When I previously looked into this, the best solutions mainly seemed to be zigbee ones that had been around for a while. There were a number of new solutions with just phone apps but they had mixed reviews.

Oh, wow, yes, that's great. Yes those IKEA ones look perfect!

Having just googled them it looks likely they'll be zigbee compatible. They're also going to be battery powered. Will have to wait and see what the price will be but I'll be holding off my forthcoming blind purchases until I know more about them.

Is there a forum approved budget cctv style camera? I need one for the outside of my shared studio, mainly to see if anyone is hanging around/dumping rubbish/shooting up. Sometimes people are working there late on their own and some of Hackney's wildlife comes out to play.
Ideally we would be able to view it online and maybe record a rolling amount of footage as cheap as possible. I have a QNAP NAS at home that I would be able to record to if that's an option.

My Roomba is stuck.
It's done half the flat and it's gone and fallen into the tiled area in front of the fire.
Not quite a staircase that it would have avoided, but too big a step to get back out of.
This is the modern day angst. Now my flat will only have been half hoovered by the time I get home.

I've now got a Netgear LB2120 LTE modem going spare, as well as a Draytek 130 modem.
I'd like £75 for the Netgear and £50 for the Draytek.
PM me if interested.

Just got emailed a survey from Hive, they're developing their own TRVs.

Trailing edge WiFi dimmer switches, any suggestions?
The Samotech Philips Hue cover plates were back in stock on their website, so I ordered a load of them and they work great. Anyone thinking about those, yeah they're good and don't look half as bad as feared.
