They perhaps don't make Meile like they used to (in terms of 'pull your carpet up' power); then again they're much cheaper than they were and ours does is perfectly adequate. Still find the 'cheap', albeit from big/well known manufacturers, bagless ones aren't as good as the 'bagged'. Maybe a Henry/Hetty?

Meh. Vacuum cleaner is goosed, despite my best efforts to revive it. Are new ones all shit since the power reduction regs? (Changes not that recent, but we've not bought one in 10 years) Any recommendations?
