  • That video gave me a headache

  • He doesn’t seem to breathe at any point, does he?

  • I've had this one for years. Actually I've got two, the other one stopped and I'm not sure why - if anyone wants it as a project then let me know

  • I have a timex which did the same thing. Luck of the draw I guess.

  • Yeah, that Unitime is the only Breitling I've been interested in, maybe ever? It's pretty nice, if a bit big, and the functionality is cool. The dial and graphic detailing is miles better than anything they've done in decades.

I'm also glad they've dropped the "Navitimer" designation from the dial, since it's not, y'know, a Navitimer.

  • Yeah - it’s pretty clean for a Breitling, they usually have illegibly busy dials which for me kind of defeats the object of the watch. Think this is pretty much the first one of theirs I’ve liked too.

  • Since the old IWC CEO moved to Breitling, they’re gradually becoming better. Saw the new 41mm Colt the other day in person and it’s very smart. And can be had for relatively little cash.

  • My brother got himself a Superocean II Heritage 42, which looks pretty handsome in the metal. I mean, for the money I'd rather have a Speedy, but it's a lot nicer than I'd have expected from a modern Breitling.

  • This is the one I was talking about:

Can be had for $2300. Great vfm.

  • Tried on a Vacheron Constantin Overseas and a Audmars Piguet Royal Oak yesterday - was surprised how much I like the AP

  • Shhhhhh @mmccarthy might hear you

  • Oof that's nice...

  • AP bracelet is godly

  • I'm saving up for a Royal Oak at the moment. Gonna take a while.

  • I’d never seen the appeal but honestly I think it’s a very special thing after trying it on for size

  • Offshore or? 😊

  • Nautilus >>>>>> Royal Oak
    (for me anyway)
But yeah the general size, thinness, bracelet etc are class.

  • Altho I have seen both in the flesh and appreciate the workmanship, the design still leaves me cold. I really do think if you took the marque off they could both easily be found at the back of an Argos catalogue.

Infact I would prob favour the Rotary Navitimer. 😎 #justsayin

  • Might as well throw the Hublot Big Bang into the same bin. Style over substance. wins lottery. Buys all 3. 😎 💪

  • All this navitimer/aviator/worldtime stuff...Still kinda want a slide-rule-bezel utility watch, so I can calculate some maths problems while the pasta cooks. Should have bought the insane oversized Citizen do-it-all a year or two ago when i saw it cheap in a cash generator.

Maybe cheaper to just get the calculator.

  • Really enjoying dailying this of late

  • Beater today. Really thin, mismatched milanese, cracked crystal, and over a decade old. Just wish it had black hands to be more legible. No idea of sizing for this Rotary. Will have to look up or find someone that can gauge them - maybe my digital calipers will do?
