There’s a thread on the sold off meadowbank stuff here:

I paid £1500 for the lot . the finish line was what I was after .. I know there was only 3 or 4 sections cut .
-
• #16
as to how I acquired said bikes and track piece . it was the main demolition contractor . who assured me they were salvage as the velodrome and meadowbank operators never came to claim them .

is there any one willing to shine a light on whether these bikes are desirable either to donate or sell. any info would be welcomed
-
• #18
Imo there is definitely a market for them, the reason you might not gather that much interest is your rather lackluster description of the bikes (specs etc) and the absence of a price (they're also pretty small).
-
• #19
thanks for reply . my daily bike is a cube hard tail. other than that I'm pretty ignorant to other bike genres ...and specs .

These bikes are definitely desirable for donation and I'll happily put my home forwards as one that would accomodate these bikes when you donate them.
-
• #21
I am probably small enough to make use of one of these frames for donation...
-
• #22
il probably just donate them to a cycle charity that will put them to good use .. thanks for the Input tho . very insightful comments . cheers for your disregard

tries to sell bikes with no info, price, size. Flounces when no one buys them.

He's right though. It boggles my mind every time someone pulls that stunt, be it on ebay, a forum, or elsewhere.
If I want to find people who will give me money for something I'll do my best to make it as easy as possible for them to find all the relevant information, otherwise they are orders of magnitude more likely to go elsewhere.
hi all as it says I have two original Paul Donahue 44 cm single gear training bikes from meadowbank . I paid a fair amount looking to sell them on .
