It's likely that there's an OEM one from the maker of your car that will come with/already have a neat cubby to stow in.

Jesus I might have to go Japanese.

Found the log book, car hasn't been serviced since 2012 and my mate hadn't even changed the oil in three years...
So new everything going in it seems, how do you just leave a car to rot and not even try to maintain it? I don't get it... Car runs surprisingly well considering it's been so neglected for so long...

How to ruin a beautiful car right there.
EDIT - If you have money why not go and ruin other cars, there are many cars of a similar epoch to go and ruin why ruin a such a car. Following his comments about the sliding pillar suspension and steering, feel free to go investigate and make your own conclusion.

Quite straight forward, don't need to have a japanese address. Have bought cars from people and auctions. Never met the car buyers, had a freind out there and we shared the profits. But last one was a saw the photos and knew the car. Sold it to the original UK owner that bought the car in Europe. Bought the car before it was in the uk and paid. Really odd. Shipping is the issue tho.

Nice michellin ones aren't cheap. The halfords ones are use for five minutes and then let rest for 10.

Good morning good people of LFGSS.
Not as exciting as Porsche, Audi etc but...my gf and I currently share a '02 Nissan Micra in fire engine red - and very nice it is too but the time has now come for an upgrade.
I am a man of simple tastes. My requirements are:
- 5 doors
- boot space for a push chair etc (no kids currently but probably not a million miles away) whilst also not too big as she doesn't want a 'big car'
- basic mod cons like Bluetooth
- decent build quality
- less than 40k miles
- less than £7k
Can anyone persuade me that a Fabia estate is not a good choice?
If you have better suggestions then chuck them this way!
- 5 doors

Terribly ugly. But following this as we basically have the same requirements.

That's quite a low mileage limit you've set. 10-12k miles is the yearly average, so the majority of offerings will be only 3-4 years old, which then won't be within £7k budget. Been looking at similar constraint for @cake 's dad and it's a bit easier for him because he wants a smaller car. If you pushed mileage limit to 60k it might open up more options.
Saying that, you could get a focus or focus estate within your constraints.

or the correct answer is of course an Alfa
He said under £7k for the car - not for the annual service costs...
-
• #45847
Yeah but think how stylish he would look broken down at the side of the road in a red alfa...

Without sounding like too much of a cliché, I'd want to test drive that engine in that size car before buying.
I'd want to double check the turbo is providing enough torque to shift it along, because 105 hp does not sound enough.

Yeah I thought about the Rapid too. I actually tried to encourage my mum to buy one but then she blew the budget on a new Mini Clubman.
Skoda's feel like a good bet on the whole - even if they don't command many cool points -

Yeah I know what you mean but if I hold onto it for a few years then lower mileage is likely to mitigate as many issues right?
VW heads, I'm in the market for a set of G60 15" steel 4x100 wheels.
