  • Could get the old one out by destroying the old dead bearing, then freeze the sleeve, heat the new bearing and it might press in Ok with an appropriate drift.

    If it takes that to get it in, the bushing is much too big. Correct interference fit would allow a light press with no temperature difference. The axle is a sliding fit in the bushing, so you're not going to gain anything by making the bushing tight in the bearing.
