  • Could get the old one out by destroying the old dead bearing, then freeze the sleeve, heat the new bearing and it might press in Ok with an appropriate drift.

  • Could see the lip on one side in the photo above and and it seems flushed with the surface on the other hence should be removable.

    Pretty much how you'll sleeve a Shimano BB if you wanna use it with a GXP crankset...

    If it takes that to get it in, the bushing is much too big. Correct interference fit would allow a light press with no temperature difference. The axle is a sliding fit in the bushing, so you're not going to gain anything by making the bushing tight in the bearing.
