I'm with the plod here I'm afraid. Infringing on an ASL might be annoying, but if the effect was not openly dangerous its just one of a gazzilion minor traffic offences that take place everyday.
The police should rightly be focusing on following up actively dangerous driving, such as the instance posted by @skinny a couple of weeks back. Based on the tales in this thread, I've found it encouraging that the police seem to be taking increasingly positive action based on camera footage from riders, but this likely wont be helped if every minor issue is uploaded ad infintum.
