Tasty start to the new year! I'm awaiting confirmation of London Marathon entry, but before you get too excited, I'm unlikely to race it. I'm keeping my pacing options open; assuming I don't get a late call-up as an official pacer, I'm interested in offering my services to anyone on the Champs start aiming for a time slow enough for me to pace comfortably (e.g. female club mates aiming for sub-3 or thereabouts...)
Only running I've done so far this year is 2.6 miles round trip to the gym and back this morning for a 30 mins indoor row (7,787m, 1:55.6 pace). Apologies in advance if I get more excited about rowing than running for the foreseeable future! :)
London marathon entry confirmed!
There was a record attendance at Osterley parkrun yesterday morning. There were more than 500 people, which beat the previous best by nearly 200; they resorted to paper finishing tokens!
It was the first time I have run the new course and it was a lot faster - I got the sub 17 clocking on the first day of 2019. There are still some beautiful views but they have gone to two laps and cut out the hairpins. I highly recommend it if you are ever out towards west London.
