Does it have to be a Garmin? And is it a fixed route or can you pick your own?
I've just switched to a Wahoo Elemnt (bigger one) and I really like it for following a route, recording, battery life etc (Did a 200km ride over Christmas with HR, power meter and navigation and it still had 25% battery left after 9hrs elapsed time).
That said, it's not very good if you go off route or need to re-route as you can't scroll around the map. So for something like TCR where you may have made a mistake in and have to adapt your route on the fly, it's prob not so good.
Nope, doesn't have to be a Garmin at all. I'll have a look at Wahoo - like the idea of a longer battery as i will need to be doing 10-hour rides by March. If i can do that on a single charge that would be ideal as I wont have my dynamo sorted by then I suspect.
