  • Double Parkrun today, had forgotten how great they are as I don't get a chance to go all that often. Training plan had 12x400m intervals at 7min/mile pace so I condensed them into one Chipping Sodbury Parkrun. Thats how it works right? Started off feeling fresh thinking I could even push for a sneaky PB, but quickly realised that a week of terrible sleep and a cold would make the target pace much harder that it should be. Held on and finished just faster than target. Type 2 fun.

    Club mate took 30s off his PB so all in all a successful run.

    Chippenham Parkrun I jogged round with club mate, much more social pace and chatty. Made him work for the line by constantly saying "that guy in blue, you can take him" and repeat for the next person. Good clean type 1 fun.

    As always massively impressed with the organisation, volunteers, runners etc.
