I have no frame pegs. Do I add a frame pump or are there any good mini pumps? I hate stuffing everything in my Jersey so on my commute I have a long pump in my carradice bag but for non commuting rides I don’t always want to Carry the carradice. So thinking of tool roll plus frame pump or handlebar bag? What’s the most practical and what Will get me the most Instagram likes bearing in mind I have no tanwalls.

Frame pumps are hot again. You don't need pegs, a piece of Velcro strap will be supplied.
Silca if you have the dough, otherwise Topeak or Zefal.
The joy of fixing a flat with a properly sized pump is totally worth it. I won't buy or use a mini pump ever again.

i've used my topeak masterblaster without even the velcro for thousands of KMs and never had a problem with it popping out. Probably depends on your tube profile though.

Zefal HPX for function, Silca Impero for Instagram likes. Attach with strap

Park Tool PMP-5 also worth a shout being extremely flexibles regardless of what frame sizes which actually be quite useful giving the vast difference in frame geometry nowadays making a fixed frame pump only to work with a specific frame shape.
The Zefal HPX as mentioned above is definitely the go-to choice of pump in term of value/longevity/reliability, it's

Silca Impero.
About 8 Zefal HPX, as much as I would love to own those, it just hard to even rationised something that probably might pop off if you're not careful (sans strap).

Got a spare hpx that’s too small for our bikes!
Think it’s a #2

shit pump as the head directly attaches to the valve, recipe for disaster

Are there frame pumps with built-in hoses? I just carry a small separate one for ultimate pumping comfort (hehe).

My HPX died on a ride, some sort of internal valve failure meant it would suck air out of the tube. Was a long walk.

Maybe it was Opposite Day.

I had a crash with a Range Rover that resulted in every frame tube being bent or deformed, including the head tube. My HPX survived.

You say you can’t afford Ti, check out the Planet X / On-One pickenflick, they had a ruddy good deal on it recently with rival hydro. It won bike of the year a while back and it’s got massive tyre clearance. Not the most ‘up to date’ frame feature-wise but it’s meant to be a riot to ride, everyone I’ve met who owns one says it’s the best bike they own / have owned.

2019 Pinnacle Arkose now have thru axle front and rear, Di2 ready, dynamo routing, fully internal cable routing etc.
Look real good and a massive improvement over the original, I especially like the Road version and Adventure version with a slightly steeper head tube on the men bike (I think they got rid of the Dolomite for 2019? @jameso ? )
Just need to find out about getting the frameset just for that 12mm TA rear.

Awaiting the rumoured (on another thread) return of the On-One Pompino for 2019.

High BB drop. Good for CX, not for gravel.

Correct, Arkose Road replaces the Dolomite - so many Arkoses ended up on 28-32mm tyres with guards and it has more options for the summer on bigger or 650B tyres. Geometry is the same as before, works well in that middleground. Arkose frame and fork is the same on both Road and Dirt models and only the builds vary.
You lads might think I’m nuts but been thinking of selling my enigma etap titanium frame set which fits 32mm tyres max without guards and replacing with something with more clearance for knobblies for muddy rides and ‘gravel’. Any recommendations?
Can’t afford Ti anymore so will be using the funds from my frame set sell to buy a new frame set, presumably in steel or aluminium without topping it up much/at all.
Been looking at Kinesis Tripster AT and Fairlight Secan, but wondered if the hive mind had any further suggestions/experiences.
Cheers!
