  • Sounds like you are talking about a mk4 golf gti. Grandparents had one from new, was solid and reliable and the interior was much better than newer golf's but man it was slow. 1.8t 150 ps I think was the other option and much better, think it was better on fuel too, mad.

  • Michelin cross climate I'm very very impressed with if you want a 3.5 season tyre. Have two cars with them on and despite trying very hard neither got stuck at any point last year.
My volvo has nokian z line on and for a 3 season tyre, excellent, they are on it now and prob won't change them until next winter now.

Cross climate wearing at same rate as premacy 3 (which are just a summer tyre) that were on those wheels before, and a million times better in the wet and grime below 6c. Premacy in cold temps were unhappy.

Cc and z line both less than a hundred a corner for 850/v70 sizes

  • I was going to try one of those 2 but I need 17s and they're 130 a corner. Pilot super sports are cheaper!

  • Quoted six weeks for replacement Michelin winter tyres so went with Pirelli instead which is available tomorrow.

  • Friday to Friday over Christmas, in a 2004 Fiat Panda, with a 5 1/2 month pregnant mrs_com in the passenger seat.

  • For many years I had wondered why the paint never quite matched at the very top of the C Pillar on the drivers side, and today I found out why.

Fortunately it’s entirely contained to the arch itself which I’m cutting off entirely to fit the arch extensions

  • Has anyone any experience of a 2015+ Audi A6 2.0 Ultra?
    Thanks.

  • To be fair, I’m glad they have repaired it in this way and not welded a repair section in or anything more corrosion inducing

  • Picked this up on Thursday .

  • Nice! Always loved those. They've aged so well.

  • Cheers , I always promised myself one, nearly bought one new in 1998 but first child was due so I bought a 145 cloverleaf instead.
This one's a T spark Lusso , 1999 two owners before me and only 40,000 miles.
I am inordinately pleased with it, it's soooo pretty .

  • Nice one!! Health to drive. 😁
You’d look great in that with a Flightmaster 😁😁

  • Can't spend any more money on watches now I've got this. I have two other Italian cars to look after as well!!

  • So good, especially with those wheels.

  • But the style factor ....

  • Thankyou,
I don't think these are going to remain bargains for long. And yes the "teledials"are the best wheels .
It just feels so special being sat in it , driving back from picking it up I caught sight of myself in a shop window and it just made me laugh out loud .
And whilst not a punchy as the V6 it is super handling , and still dashes to 60mph in around 8 secs.

  • Is that the 2.0 that was also in the 156?

Not a bad engine, parents had a 156 new, loved driving that about.

Those seats look so comfy, perfect GT spec.

What are the other 2 Italian cars?

  • Yes the same as 156 and 145/6 .
Other 2 Italians are that yellow Punto sporting , and a mad 2018 Abarth 595.
I can't now fit a bike in any of my cars since I sold my Giulietta .

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

drove one of those many years ago as co-worker had one, handles great! lovely interior, although may be prone to cabin rattles, but looking at your italian line-up stated below you'll be used to that...?

  • Cheers, yes it does squeak a bit . Not much mind you. The Abarth is too new for any rattling and my Punto sporting is 2002 but has only done 30k so again not tooooo bad.

  • Mate, lovely. Awesome cars and still look good now. Makes a lot new coupe designs look amateurish. Good buying!

  • Thanks so much , have just come inside from standing on my drive and just looking at it!

  • Does anyone know owt about 4x4 kei /mini trucks e.g. Hijet Climber, Mitsubishi Mighty, Honda Acty? They seem to be JDM only. All similar and use 660cc three cylinder engines mostly. We’re these used for other UK vehicles? Just thinking about parts and whatnot.

I think I need one - a dropside pickup. I am looking to replace my old Forester, but to be honest I value the little pickup’s ability to shunt 1/4 ton of manure or logs around my 1 acre (very)smallholding don’t need 5 seats and creature comforts. Does need to be 4x4 though.

I was thinking a SWB series Landrover pickup but really only for cool points, as the pickup bed is way less useful (higher bed, fixed sides, narrow door).
