FWIW, cutting out cheap beef and other meats, and encouraging others to do the same, is important as cattle grazing is equally to blame for deforestation and livestock have the added impact of the greenhouse gas methane.

I'm afraid you need to replace that with 'any meat or animal product'. I know that conflicts with your Blairite sensitivities, but tough - if you're able to acknowledge the scale of the problem, you need to be honest enough to acknowledge the only solution.
