Spurs were never really in the title race. They had a glimpse and pissed the sheets.

Thanks for that, glad you kept it all in perspective for me. Not sure I could have kept my enthusiasm in check on my own..

Arsenal joining in the bottling. Behind 4mins after scoring the opener.

Fucks sake Arsenal. That was a glorious minute that they led.
This Liverpool team is ominously good at grabbing a goal when they need one.

• #148184
Took the captaincy away from him in my fantasy football team. Gutted!

• #148185
Ha!

After 20 games, it is with great delight I note that Liverpool have twice as many points as Everton.
-
• #148187
Jesus, you know you're in full boom/pre bust Kopite mode when even you start gloating on here!!!
Not long now, kids...
-
• #148188
Ha! Though I'd be equally gloaty if the situation were the same but we only had 18 points.

Job done but fuck me we make it hard for ourselves, Palace could've turned us over at any point in the last fifteen minutes... More directness needed for me, less pointless passing between the halfway line and the eighteen yard box, sack off Morata in the window, get someone decent in... I hear Higuain is a possible swap, not sure he's the answer but we need more goals from fucking somewhere... I'm also starting to get fed up with Jorginho... Nice goal from Kante, can't believe we're in the top four wth a five point cushion! 😁

I’ll happily take those three points. Job done. Definitely need goals from a striker.

Great weekend of footy. Saints were very good harassing City. Pretty sure they won’t go down.
United are reborn. They still need a new defence but at least they’re playing with some bollocks going forward now.
Hate to say it, but Liverpool will easily beat City on Thursday.

the transfer window opens smoothly and silently on perfectly oiled hinges
any rumours at all ? wonder where klopp will strengthen this jan, we've a couple of positions that aren't the best in the premiershit in the stats, i'd have a look for moreno's replacement and a proper striker

For anyone who speaks German, this is a great interview:
http://m.11freunde.de/interview/karriererueckblick-mit-torsten-mattuschka/1
Torsten Mattuschka on how he went from being a 100kg seventh-tier player to a McDonald's and döner eating Bundesliga and 2.Liga legend for Energie Cottbus and Union Berlin. He was an excellent player and is a great interviewee as well. He obviously remembers everyone who helped and supported him, but he's no holds barred on the coaches he didn't get on with so well: "As a person, he was a catastrophe. He wasn't that great at his job either."

nice to see a Chelsea striker scoring goals.
Tammy Abraham with 2 more. -

Pulisic to Chelsea.
As Hazard's replacement? And isn't £58m quite a lot for a player currently warming the bench for an 18-year old English player?
-
• #148197
Also what does that say to the long list of Chelsea youth players (looking at you Hudson-odoi) about the possibilities of ever cracking the first team on a regular basis.
A bit jealous as we were supposed to be in for him. Is £60 million a lot for a 20yr old with a couple of seasons of experience in the bundesliga whose been usurped by a younger cheaper player?
Seems like the buy in January, loan back and then get the player in the summer has become a thing now.
Wonder who else is refusing to sign a contract extension making them available for this kind of transfer? -
• #148198
We’ve potentially got a transfer ban next summer.
-
• #148199
Hadn’t factored that in, probably a reason why you aren’t looking to sell on those young players on the fringes..
Also why don’t you bring back batshuyi (sp) or Abraham. Is their style of play, incompatible with Sarri’s? Or in Abraham’s case, is a season of first team football in an environment not as pressured as chelsea’s better for his development?

That's what I read... Either jan or summer
What's the transfer ban thing?
Time for the sheriff to make sure every player knows that sort of display isn’t good enough, if we’re going to be in the title race to the end..
