What is ?
Do you have a record player?
There's no need for a phono other wise?
I would have thought (from a quick google) the ddj thing as it's cd would be rca. -

You don't want a phono stage for that. Phono stages are to bring the output of a phono cartridge (ie from a record deck) up to "line" level.
Confusingly RCA connectors/cables are often referred to as phono cables...

If your amp has usb sockets you should be able to use those for power (although sometimes they're not powerful enough, I've had to use a 2x USB to 1x micro USB to get round that before).
Obviously for sound you'll still need to plug in via the HDMI/optical/3.5mm jack.

blown phono inputs all over the amplifier.

OK!
This is winning. -

@cornelius_blackfootif you buy that amp, can you test a chromecast on it?

That’s where the confusion arose from need RCA connectors on this new amp so I can use pioneer ddj, otherwise I’ve got no issue with any of the others

I'm a big fan of these little amps. More than enough for my setup.
I run a chromecast into the the optical in and RCA out to the speakers. Perfect mini setup.

Which amp do you have?
What’s the one that you’d most like to have? -

Thanks - I can try this out..
If anyone has a sonos speaker going cheap I might be interested.. seems like one by the router might make sense if I can get one cheap enough.

I have both the one you linked above and the SA-50 both in black. Both are good little amps. They're simple. The bigger one you've linked to has a remote which means it can be put out of the way (mines on my kitchen cabinet powering 2 mini bose jewel speakers.) the SA50 powers my bedroom speakers.

Does your amp not have a usb socket? Take power from that. Then use the 3.5mm line out (or even the mini optical inside it, if your amp has an optical digital-in) to take sound into the amp.

Yes that's what I thought I'd do for my upstairs, as yet unpurchased thing.

Thinking of getting a streamer so I can play my own hard drive of music plus streaming services etc. Budget under £500. Completely new to modern hifi stuff so would prefer something that I can plug in and play without too much hassle. Current set up is old inherited hifi kit (about 20 years old) which will also be in need of upgrading quite soon (the amp is from Japan and needs a transformer for the correct voltage).
Was thinking of a dedicated streamer but what is the view on something like the below which seems to be an amp as well?:

What speakers and which room? Which sources?
-

If it won’t power up I’d be checking fuses, then sockets and cables. There might be internal fuses that have blown as a result of power cycling it so check that before you just replace it

@cornelius_blackfoot this might be worth a look https://www.teac-audio.eu/en/101-Reference-Series-120639.html

Room is my “study” about the 2m x 3m, source is my Mac Pro, which has an optical out, speakers are quad 11L’s,
Used for desktop computer use, a bit of listening to music, etc.Am going to check the fuse on the plug first before binning, but looking at alternatives if that doesn’t sort it..

Have seen this on amazon but it’s £330 if it was £150 cheaper I’d be interested,
Would love something similar which doesn’t have all the wireless gubbins or Alexa comparability..https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KIGWU7Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_toMjCbQS3TDR6

Plex.
Do it.
Easy and cheap solution will be the power line option. If it's just one device that is the problem I'd go with that.,
