  • RX 480/570 would be good and can be found for around 120. Gtx 1050ti is also a great wee card for 1080 res at around 90 quid second hand.

  • That's great ta - assuming my corsair 520w can handle those? Come to think of it, it's like 10 years old. What's the average life span of a power supply?

  • The 1050ti runs on PCIe power alone so that psu will be more than enough. No idea on lifespan of psu’s though I’m afraid, I’d be tempted to replace it at that age though, could pick up an ok basic branded psu for about £40, but you may not even have to... I have no real idea.

    I'd assume so yes. I just bought a slightly overclocked RX 570 and it needs 150w max apparently. So it should be fine with my 460w psu. Nvidia cards are more efficient power-wise so a 1050ti or similar uses less.

    That said I'm not in London at the moment so I've not plugged mine in yet...
