I didn’t exactly feed the fox, to be fair, he was more interested in the plastic takeaway box than the food, so he took the box tipping all the food on the ground. I stayed for as long as I could to make sure it was the cat that ate the food. And the garden is his home, if it’s the same fox, he’s been here forever, longer than both cats. Never interacted with him until last night, always just leave him be. I was quite mean to it so it should be ok....
And, no, folks ain’t back yet, they were meant to come back yesterday pm.
I waited till about 4 and still no sound so I gave stalker cat a bit of food just in case, he down everything at once, not sure if he was hungry or just the way he was.
Texted them to let them know he’s eaten something and got a text at about 6:30 saying that because I have fed him, they are not coming back for the night, hence my going out to top up the food and put out some fresh water so he doesn’t go hungry overnight. As soon as stalker cat heard me, he came out and ate ate ate... so he was probably hungry.
Feeding him in the garden isn’t my preference at all and I really wasn’t going to do to all, but I couldn’t let a cat I know potentially going hungry, however much I think he is an annoying little git.
