What’s the legal situation with abandoned stripped frames? There’s one d-locked to a lamppost a few doors down. It started out as a full bike a few months ago, but now down to frame, bars and brakes. We’ve reported to council more than once so looks like they won’t do anything.
Looks like an old low end GT maybe, canti brakes on the front and calliper on the back. Rust patches on frame, nothing worth keeping. Husband is sick of it hanging around and wants to hacksaw the frame and bin it.
I’ve left notes before - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. NYC will typically put a bright yellow notice on the bike for a couple weeks, then it gets cut and scrapped.
Sounds like the state of what’s left is enough to remove it without much trouble.
