The front brake lever is positioned horizontally?

We have guests staying over, which means Dizzy has new people to sleep on at night. She’s very happy about this.

Gigi isn't too sure about this Christmas stuff. I think she is missing her boat home, this being on land at the grandparents is all a bit puzzling. She got lots of presents but has taken to hiding in the attic, which she has claimed as her own. Don't worry Gigi, we'll be back aboard soon.
Happy Christmas to everyone & their cat creatures x

Recall what I said about I am not feeding someone else’s cat this Christmas? Well, guess what! I am... 🤦🏻♀️
-
• #8707
So they've gone away and locked out out, or do they have a cat flap?
-
• #8708
They have installed a cat flap a couple of months back so the whole situation has improved a bit.
And by the way, they did come back on Sat... thanks god!
The problem is, they asked me if I would feed their cat yesterday probably literally just before they were going, leaving me no time to reply. By the time I got the text and had replied, they have long gone... apparently they have left enough food for a couple of days, in various bowls and not a timer feeder thing. So we know how that’s gonna go... the cat had probably finished All the food by now...
So I said I’ll just put some food out in the garden if I see stalker cat hanging around... best I could do...

Does Dizzy just sleep on anyone that is human shape? I like her!😸

Wow, they sound like utter dicks, but I guess you know this.

Yap, thing is, I was just telling some friends Patch was gonna get a break from all these coz they were taking stalker cat with them for Christmas. But they changed their mind last min because it’s too stressful for the cat to travel...
I don’t know which is more stressful for the cat, an hour or so in a car or without proper attention for 3 whole days... 🤷🏻♀️
He is a proper attention seeker and doesn’t like to be left alone, kind of the opposite to Patch and he is still kitten ish, i think he is not even 2 yet.

Well yeah, we decided the same after a particularly stressful (for him) first Christmas where we took him around with us, but we have an auto feeder and arranged for some mates to drop in and give him some love today, and asked them nicely and bought them wine.

Maybe it is stressful then, but stalker cat spent a large potion of the summer with their parents and apparently he loved it there, so I don’t know what’s changed.
They really needed to make sure their cat is looked after when they are away, be that take him with them, use an auto feeder, use a human feeder or whatever, not just change their mind at the last min.
So your cat is spending Christmas with some lovely humans that ain’t you then! I hope you have bought him a nice present to compensate!

Dizzy is a very gentle soul who, if she gets to trust you, will be be very trusting. Also, if you’re warm and and have a pulse she’ll sleep on you. Such is the way of Cats

Patch doesn’t... if you are warm and have a pluse, she runs and hides from you... that said, I have managed to train her to sleep on me on top of the duvet. So I don’t get cold! Win-win

Tonight I fed 2 cats and a fox - that’s Patch, stalker cat and the garden resident fox. I have over exceeded my good deeds quotas for 2018.
Is it even normal for a fox that wants to approach a stranger (me) and be absolutely of a cat (stalker cat)?
-
• #8723
be aware of the fox wouldn't encourage it to see your garden as a good source, they can attack cats.
has stalker cats humans come back now -
• #8724
I didn’t exactly feed the fox, to be fair, he was more interested in the plastic takeaway box than the food, so he took the box tipping all the food on the ground. I stayed for as long as I could to make sure it was the cat that ate the food. And the garden is his home, if it’s the same fox, he’s been here forever, longer than both cats. Never interacted with him until last night, always just leave him be. I was quite mean to it so it should be ok....
And, no, folks ain’t back yet, they were meant to come back yesterday pm.
I waited till about 4 and still no sound so I gave stalker cat a bit of food just in case, he down everything at once, not sure if he was hungry or just the way he was.Texted them to let them know he’s eaten something and got a text at about 6:30 saying that because I have fed him, they are not coming back for the night, hence my going out to top up the food and put out some fresh water so he doesn’t go hungry overnight. As soon as stalker cat heard me, he came out and ate ate ate... so he was probably hungry.
Feeding him in the garden isn’t my preference at all and I really wasn’t going to do to all, but I couldn’t let a cat I know potentially going hungry, however much I think he is an annoying little git.

Our cats are ruthless. Been away for a couple days and come home and find our kitten (not so much a kitten) has just freshly caught a Blue tit. Managed to break them up but the little bird didn't want to fly away, I think its leg was a bit mangled/ it was in shock. Gave it to our neighbours who pretty much run a bird sanctuary so hopefully it'll make it.
Cat is proper upset / confused with me for taking her play thing away.
patch is actually letting you sit on the sofa ?
