Hey everyone,
Thought it’s about time I did a project thread. Just picked up this awesome Scapin frame. Light, steel, modern geometry - only let down is it has a crack! The plan is to weld said crack back together as Ive had a great experience saving a frame in the past. (Please don’t abuse me as this is not going to be a pretty job but I just want to get the thing road worthy!!). As well as fixing the crack, I’m going to have a go at buffing the frame back up and getting the paint looking gleaming once again.
Recently acquired a 1” Time fork with a rad paint job but the plan is to bring it back to raw carbon and hopefully show the silver crown (a bit like pas normal Cannondale if you are familiar). I’ll be needing a 1/18th to 1” fork headset if that’s even a thing? I know some will ask why I want to use this fork but I think the skinny tubes fit really well each end! Bare with me on this :)
As for the components I’m thinking something along the lines of 10s Chorus/Record if all goes to plan over Christmas.
