I emailed a complaint to the bus operator regarding one of their busses pulling out in front of me. I also requested the cctv footage under GDPR rules. This is the response I got:
I am writing in relation to an incident you reported to us involving a
bus operating the number 10 service. You have made a subject access
request for the CCTV, I am sorry to have to inform you that
unfortunately the recording unit on the bus was faulty so no footage
is available.
Seems convenient for them they can say the unit was faulty. Maybe it was or maybe wasn’t. I will never know.
