He was loving the GXR and looking at a Leica 75mm 2.5 lens for it. What really struck me about him is how good he was at moving people while he's chatting to them until they are standing in the light he wants them in. I think the Graflex would have been a bit weighty for the kind of day we were on!
If you ever see a walkabout with him leading it then go if you can.
Just had a look at your thread, 'Burnett combo" had me thinking why does that seem familiar?
I went on a 1 day photography walkabout with David Burnett in Dubai, he was really great, such an amazing photographer. The whole day he never said a word about it to anyone about how great he is and pretty much none of us knew anything about him beyond the work we had seen on his website.
Very good memories of that day, he was so down to earth and self effacing.
Here he is explaining that he took the picture of Bob Marley that this guy has printed on tea towels and could he please have his commission now.
