  • CPS knew they wouldn’t get a conviction through a jury.

    Sickeningly light sentence. Harriet Harman has referred it to the Attorney General.

  • I agree that the sentence should be far tougher but even so, there was no evidence of intent to kill. That's why he wouldn't have been convicted of murder. Not because of the CPS. Not because of the jury. Because there was no evidence of murder.

    I'm sure the secret barrister will be weighing in shortly.
