Niether, it's about abuse of power by men directed at women, a centuries old problem. "people" is not denigrating a particular person on the basis of gender. Wierd that this needs explaining.

'Stupid' is the abusive bit. 'Woman' is not an insult. Weird that this needs explaining.
To get excited over this is being over-sensitive or genuinely sexist (if you think women need special, less critical treatment).

If he'd said "stupid people" then he would still have been referring to her, so how would that help ?
