So Speedmasters... Would like to keep to the original story as much as possible but Omega try to sell you three.
311.30.42.30.01.005 "Moonwatch" comes with all the toys as ^^
&
311.32.40.30.01.001 "First In Space" Leather strap only.
&
311.10.39.30.01.001 "57"Limited editionSorely tempted by the smaller FIS with its more exposed buttons, but tempted by the Moonwatch full package. Would be buying pre-owned, is one likely to hold price better than the other. The LE just seems marketing ploy? should I fall for it.
Been checking them on Chrono24 - anyone used before, are some grey market?

I believe all are grey market.
I have a FOIS in stock and a moonwatch in the huge box PM me for details if you like . I think there is likely to be a lot of interest next year as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings . -

Looked too often at the F300 Lobster, really tempting. Love the hum and feel, not quite the history though. I have a Megaquartz in a case very similar to the 125, so that angle covered.

Glad you like it as much as you do. It's helping me convince myself that a Speedy is the only watch I'll need. Just need to get over the financial cliff now.

Also - looks like you can pick them up here for £125: https://greenshomeandgarden.co.uk/shop/modern-furniture/rolex-style-wall-clock-black-white-cosmograph/

PRS-1 is a different watch, swiss eta internals and an homage to the classic pilots watch namely IWC Xi but was produced during the war by loads of other brands too.

I think it’s worth the money. Speak to ejay2.0 re. Price.
I’m working tonight so Apple Watch on - not good on Speedy Tuesday! -

Desperately trying to acquire this for £0.00 as it’s a non-runner and looks harshly treated. Blowing on it upside down it’ll tick. Probably dried out dead.

That won't be inexpensive to sort out properly.

Agreed. But if I can acquire it for zero then I’m probably quids-in after a full service and repair. It looks badly treated, is an unclaimed watch from 18 months ago still in the safe.
Trying to understand why it will run when held one way, but not the other. I’m guessing something with the balance must be obstructing the movement of it when rotated in any other angle but dial-up. When held up, and chrono pusher pressed, I can coax it with a blow of the rocket blower and the seconds tick round fine. So the mainspring is sound, and pinion and everything flicker back and forth. Just literally won’t tick over as usual.
May be a long time til I can get the manager to cave in, though.

Looks a bit like something you'd get at a steampunk convention.
