There is a mount on the underneath of the downtube for the battery holder. This isnt on the mechanical frame. You would need to use a drill to bodge holes for wire and use a older style shimano pencil battery that can go on the seattube / post. I would not recommend trying to convert it as taking a drill to a carbon frame would void the warranty.

Is there anything besides an additional cable hole that differs the mechanical Ultimate from the electric?
ie if I get di2 it’s simple to setup??
