  • Needs more bike parts and keyboards

  • I’m being festive!

  • Thinking about selling the Genève auto. It’s nice, and is working absolutely fine, but hasn’t given me the same excitement as the black dial 1940’s one from @ejay2.0

Must decide if I keep it til mid-january when the black dial comes back from service.

  • @ejay2.0 would you be able to put your hands on a bracelet for a Tudor Black Bay?

  • Hows this working out for you? I've watched a couple of reviews of this recently and there were plenty of positives and negatives.

  • The Alpha? Must be coming up to 2 years. No probs. Seagull are on the up ay. 😎 💪

  • Seagull certainly are going places. Hopefully those places involve a better logo.

  • Should add to this that I don't wear it eryday. Prolly once or twice a week. Also it is worn in an office environment. Not le mans.

  • Any problems with the screw down crown? I've heard every review say that they feel like they've got a good chance of cross threading fairly easily.

  • Not yet. Seems to bite fine. I thought the spring wind had too much play when I first got it but it its never been an issue.

  • Anyone else going to be up at 0730 tomorrow morning to order one of these? They’re on the website at £320.

The only slight reservation I have is the diver-style extending clasp. I get that it does micro-adjustments on the go, but it seems a bit gimmicky on a non-diver. Also, it appears to be quite thick for the size of the watch. I haven’t seen any complaints about it on the larger watch, however, so time will tell.

  • I'm tempted but I have no idea why. I have an actual 36mm explorer.

I'll probably give it a miss.

  • Ha! I could certainly put the £320 towards the 214270 I’ve been promising myself for the last few years, but this almost seems closer to the ideal - a modern, useable 1016. I can’t resist. I’ve already bought a leather strap for it :/

  • Have you had a micro adjustable clasp before? They are awesome.

  • Think I want the clasp more than the watch...

  • No, so I’m open to it being great, it just looks too hefty in the photo. Also, it’s the reason the bracelet only tapers from 20mm to 18mm. 16mm would’ve looked better.

  • Ah, I see what you mean now.

  • If I didn't have the 114270, I'd have already set my alarm for tomorrow...

  • Also. I do love a naff showcase back. #Cheese 😎

  • What do you think of it on the strap? I far prefer mine on a strap than the bracelet.

  • It totally changes the look of the watch. I love it a lot. I will need the Omega deployment clasp soon.
The bracelet is lovely too. In a perfect world, where money was no object, bracelet for work and leather for relaxing. Does that make sense?

  • bracelet for me as well. dont like how the curved lugs meet the strap

  • I’ve an ultra skinny wrist so it looks bad in the pic. Normal people would not have the same problem.
Next plan is to build up my wrist!
