annoyingly I end up..
Well you still know people there, right ...?
New TAs are on all bikes coming in now, a much better system that's more DT RWS in action. May be a while before the frames/forks have those with them but PM me if you want a stock check on either, etc.

On that note if I want to replace the front TA on my 2018 arkose 4 with something that needs an allen key to undo, what’s the best option? This sort of thing?

My new Kona, an allroad bike built around a nos '12 Honky Inc. frameset with Dura-Ace 7700 group, Middleburn cranks & SKF bb etc.

Tasteful. Like!

Very nice. Desticker them rims and it'll be sorted. Wish I was taller, bikes with a proper headtube and a goodly amount of seatpost look far better imo.

• #6457
Other words, tall people had it better
-
• #6458
I always think small bikes look way better.
-
• #6459
In the realm of bicycle aesthetics, yes, in most other parts of life it doesn't matter so much how tall you are.

Except basketball

It looks really well!

Dirty sixer.....makes me want to be over 2 metres tall

Sorry, link..

imo the proportions on those look just like <54cm bikes with 700c wheels.
-
• #6465
Have a good mooch around the site....they do 32" wheels as well and there are some lovely looking things.

Nice to see that I'd only need a 3XL ;-)
-
• #6467
Well, you're a mere 6 foot lots, as opposed to 7 foot and a bit!

Thanks for the comments! I'll probably desticker the rims at some point. Frame size is barn door-like 61 cm, reach & stack are quite reasonable, 409/624 mm. I'm ~187 cm tall and the bike fits me just about perfectly. There's a few more pictures of the bike in Flickr.

And volley ball it seems.

I did say most other parts of life, obviously I had thought of basketball, putting the angel/star on top of the tree.
Played volleyball at school, height never a problem, just need that spring in yer legs. -

anyone else using the shimano rx derailleur? Finding taking out/putting in the rear wheel is a total pain with it.
-
• #6472
I'm using one on the road bike ... 't is fine. Haven't noticed any diff. Is this QR or Thru?
-
• #6473
There’s a lever on it that allows you to disengage the clutch when removing it fitting the wheel, no?
You are using that, right?
-
• #6474
And banging your head into low hanging stuff..
-
• #6475
There is, and you ought to ... it makes a diff :p
Just saw this..
