Don't forget the mudguards.
Oh yes, don't worry about that - It wont be complete without fenders and lights :3

We're getting there. Made some adjustments from the initial test-ride and took it for another today.
Still to do:
- Trim the bars down a wee bit and install the grips.
- Install some sort of dampener between the basket & rack bed to stop rattling.
- Correct an issue where the chain contacts the kickstand in some gears while riding
- Install a quick-release system for the saddlebag (this will take some kluging).
- Fenders.
- Dynamo Lights.
- Some sort of not-stupid waterbottle holder.

Some sort of not-stupid waterbottle holder.
A stem bag would be an easy fix.
If you're not feeling that route, maybe attach a couple cages to the metal bands on the rear of the basket facing the rider?

Carradice have already done the QR bag release. Nice. But pricey.
Looks like the springs on the Brooks would interfere, no? Maybe just a cotton inner bag you can take out when you go walkies.
Bike is all kinds of classy!

Amazing! Looks fantastic

I was thinking of the seatpost mounted SQR stuff.

I have a Carrady SQR, which is a whopping 19L and looking at this bike I don't think there's enough clearance - especially with the sprung saddle.

Magnificent. Looks super relaxed to ride as well?

Awesome choice of components! I love the wheels

Wow! Thanks for the replies all.
RE: Bag support - I've acquired two Carradice Bagmen (QR and non) over the last couple of years. As @TvH mentioned, the springs on the Flyer interfere with the QR version when mounted the expect way via clamping to the saddle rails. My working solution is to mount the non QR version that's just the support rail to the saddle rails, and find a way to secure the QR mechanism separately...
I don't mind the idea of a waterproof bag that comes out when I lock up - any suggestions for securing the empty saddlebag so someone doesn't walk off with it while I'm away?
@essdi It's like riding a La-z-boy recliner.

The SQR system is very neat and the block can be mounted all the way down on the seatpost. I'd probably wait to have a mudguard fitted at the rear though, to make sure there's no bag / tyre interference.

Fenders are on! Holy hell, I can't wait to not do that again for a while!
Modifying/Re-radiusing the front fender was a bit more work than I expected, but it came together nicely.
(sorry for the poor cropping)

nice, are those VO mudguards?
-
• #72
Guards really make it pop. Awesome!
-
• #73
That's super neat, where'd you get it?

@BlackMath The flasks were a fad at my first shop - a few of us got them through QBP. The cage is made by King Cage - I think I was gifted it.
@platypus Yeah! I absolutely love VO fenders - this is the fourth set I've installed on my own bikes, and I've never really had any issues with them.
@russmeyer Thanks! I'm excited to be that much closer to a finished ride.
