I love these neo-axes but I am less enamoured with the happy polyphonic floaty/djenty music they're associated with. It all sounds like pre-Russian Circles guitar band Dakota/Dakota but not as gritty - https://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/shoot-in-the-dark
Thanks for the kind words about my humble collection. I would like to see others' collections too!

Intended to take pictures of here last night and ended up picking up my fretless Jazz and learning Vulfpeck bass lines for two hours, picking hand wrist is in bits now, really need to make an effort to get back to regular practice!
Will try harder to take photos next time!

any recommendations on a decent multi effects?
I want a decent fuzz, reverb and expression pedal / wahline 6 helix seems to the be the one but quality not quantity is my focus here. Not really interested in separates but of all the ones i've seen i could go for 3 of the new fender pedals and build a one-piece unit for them - love their reverb
Also seen the older Line 6 POD HD500X for £269 brand new which seems tempting

If you're only after a few specific effects I'd absolutely recommend assembling a small board, it would be a fun project to build them into one enclosure too if you wanted?

Totally this. Didn’t want to chime in recommending the thing you specifically said you didn’t want but yep, small board, power supply and a few nice pieces that do one or two things really well.

I like him too, he's a natural... Southern boys...

Boss MS-3? But you want expression and it's bloody expensive anyway...
I'm gonna echo what everyone else has said, dedicated mix & match small board will serve you well...

I've never known a decent digital fuzz. I've owned the line 6 m3 before and they were all shite imo. Separates definitely better.
If you REALLY wanted to buy a multi effects you could do worse than picking up a Tone Tattoo by EHX. At least you'd have a proper fuzz, the echo is decent and you'd get one of those oldschool choruses into the mix. No expression tho.

Been reading about the helix a lot today, it’s got very good reviews and this new stomp is under £500 with a seperate expression i’m gonna try one in a shop asap. I’ll much better value from it than another guitar for sure

Readers Wives content - Still needs a pickguard but now has a pair SD Phatcats and a Gibson Iommi in the bridge. It's a beast.

Nice SG.
I chickened out on the Helix front and went and ordered an Amplitube stomp I/O - requires much less fiddling with effects as most of them are pre installed and branded effects pedals so easy to look up preferred settings. Also not too expensive at under £200 on ebay

That looks fun...

yeah they are, i have the single stomp which i can use with the iPhone/ipad app but when you buy this you get £150 worth of extra software/effects/ampmodelers etc so i'm already used to using it but not with added nobs and stuff. plus this can be used as a looper quite nicely

selling my old interface pedal if anyone wants to try it

it's also compatible with the tabpro app and you choose the tab you want, lets say Jimi Henrix - voodoo Chile and the software emulates that exact guitar sound for that song. very cool for bedroom playing.

Sweet OM!

I'll keep it in mind but no plans to sell it anytime soon!!

There's a pickup builder in Northern Ireland who makes beautiful pickups so I'm going to get him to make me some P90s!
Have a peep at Deacci pickups if you fancy a peep.
RG2228 is a pure tank alright, it doesn't fit in the guitar holders!

Thanks! It's the best acoustic I've ever played! I couldn't recommend them highly enough to anyone who wants to buy a great acoustic.

They are good, those Collingses... I had an OM1A for a while and liked it lots.
Thanks, yes it's a Vader. Never had a seven string before, but I'm liking it so far. Maybe I'll even try playing something other than crummy metal riffs at some point :-)
Got it used, it's maple through-neck with alder wings, ebony fretboard and claro walnut top. Previous owner had swapped the pickup to an Instrumental SFTY-3 (original pup was included, no idea how they differ). Personally I'm not a huge fan of the top wood, but no complaints otherwise. Very compact and light, even with the 27" scale on the lowest string.
