Can anyone who’s had their shins done feedback on levels of discomfort? Have had my calves done (which I found quite uncomfortable) for reference.

I personally found calves worse, shins were much easier.. but I don't mind boney bits.

Just got my lower stomach done and it was a walk in the park, you never know til they stick that needle in!

Thanks for the feedback, sounds positive. Wow, I thought stomach was meant to be awful. Maybe you’re just “well ‘ard” though. I find all tattooing pretty unpleasant, can’t believe I’ve had so much work done, a couple of years between big pieces is enough for time to forget the discomfort, and that time has come.

Ha, no way man.. I'm a total wimp, hate getting tattooed. Stomach was a big surprise..

NB. Below the belly button - just fine. Above the belly button - OW!

I've had both shins done and they were relatively fine! Calves were significantly worse in my experience.

It also depends on the artist as well. I have had both calves done. The right was done by a french guy and I kid you not, it was so painful The left was done by someone else and it felt so relaxed I actually fell asleep.

I also had about an A4 size piece on my tight and it was the first time I asked for the numbing spray when the artist was working on the top of the tight near the groin...

Nothing can be worse than half way through your session, there is a power cut and about 2 hours later, the artist picks right up where he left it, that was hands down the fucking worst!

I’ve got double tattoo day again next Saturday with Conor Moriarty and SJ Young. Couple of coin size fillers and something for the top of my shoulder. Exciting..
